Soaring with Purpose: Staff Member's Skydive Raises Funds for the Community Fund

In a display of unwavering commitment and selflessness, Fleet Factors Gateshead Depot Manager Neil, recently embarked on an adrenaline-pumping adventure to mark a milestone birthday. To commemorate his 50th birthday in a truly extraordinary way, Neil took to the skies in a daring skydiving challenge, jumping out of the plane at 15,000 feet. What made this endeavour even more inspiring was that it was done in support of the Bradley Lowery Foundation.

The Fleet Factors Community Fund sponsored the skydive as part of our ongoing efforts to support charitable initiatives. The partnership between Neil and the Community Fund created a synergy of support and solidarity, amplifying the impact of his fundraising endeavour. By channelling his personal celebration into a vehicle for positive change, he demonstrated the profound influence that collective action can have on charitable causes, surpassing his target of £500 and raising a whopping £1285.

The chosen beneficiary of this remarkable skydive was the Bradley Lowery Foundation. Established in memory of Bradley Lowery, a young boy who captivated the world with his infectious smile and courageous battle against neuroblastoma, the foundation works tirelessly to support families and children fighting the same illness. By providing financial aid, emotional support, and creating lasting memories, the foundation aims to alleviate the burdens faced by families and bring joy to the lives of children battling this devastating disease.

The involvement of Fleet Factors and the Community Fund in supporting this initiative underscores our commitment to corporate social responsibility. By encouraging and facilitating staff members' involvement in charitable activities, the company sets an example for corporate entities to actively engage with their communities and make a difference.
